Details

It’s in the details.

As a photographer, you begin to change how you look at the world. You see everything in the natural and unnatural world in thirds, as leading lines, framing begins to stand out and most of all you see the details. Each part of this newfound viewpoint, changes your perspective.

The scenes of your life that you once looked at like everything else, begin to garner a new depth. With that becomes more and more apparent pieces of each story. You start to realize how many little things make up each frame, the details that come together to configure each moment. As time goes on and you develop a particular style in which you like to depict those stories, you may find yourself fascinated with particular aspects.

For myself, I find that one thing continually draws my eyes and my focus. A stark contrast to the typical earth tones of each setting. A bold reflection of personality, of individuality and of self. It is a representation of who each character is, a story in a grander story.

A story that is in the details.
