Make It Better
How can you leave the community a better place?
We live in a world fueled by a want for attention, recognition and rushes of dopamine from numbers of likes, follows and strangers admiration. We find ourselves in a world that uses the wilds of the world for their own personal gain. We see people all around us in this world that only care about themselves and their success, not for the success of others around them.
What if instead we all worked to better each other?
Knowing that in bettering each other that we would in turn better the community, the sport we love and ourselves all in the same moment. Knowing that by pushing someone else to do better, to be the best version of themselves and to keep pushing through whatever it is they are going through, that we all come out further ahead in the end. Knowing that by helping one person each day, the community grows stronger.
It is easy to get wrapped up in a game of jealousy, a game of “must be nice” and a game of “woe is me.”
But what we must remember is that it is not about the individual, it is not all about us. It is about the sport, it is about conservation, it is about the ducks. As we elevate those around us in all of their pursuits, we continue to be able to elevate those three things. We continue to broaden the education, the talents and the ability that all of us can grow from a life spent enthralled by these birds. We can continue to preserve a pastime that we all love so dearly.
No matter if you’re a photographer, a hunter, a person looking to get into the sport or just a lover of the great outdoors, there is always a place for each and every one of us to help each other. We are all in this together for the betterment of something that means so much to us.
One person at a time.
